We're pleased to announce officially the Suburban Swim League will be holding a scholarship competition with a monetary award of $1000 for the winning essays by two swimmers or divers (one male, one female). 

This is the first year we're doing this and are looking forward to making this a yearly scholarship. A few of the rules for applying:

1. Must be a graduating senior who has swam in the SSL for a minimum of 5 years 2. Complete an essay (approximately 500-750 words) describing "What summer swimming has meant to me" Using AI (Chat GPT etc.) is NOT permitted, must be in your own words.  

3. DUE DATE of July 1, 2026 

4. Plans to attend post-secondary education (college, comm college, trade school or technical programs)
